At our February General Meeting the International Women’s Club of Cancun held its first fundraiser of 2008. The Annual IWC Spring Fashion Show and Hat Contest was held on May 19th, 2007. It was a huge success. More than $7000 usd was raised for our charity, El Hogar de los Ancianos (which is the home for the elderly at La Ciudad de la Alegria).

The IWC Annual Book Sale was a huge success. We raised more than $4500 pesos for charity in a few short hours. And we had a lot of fun doing it. Everyone came away with arm loads of new reading material.
