The May General meeting of the International Women’s Club of Cancun will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008.

The International Women’s Club of Cancun is a social and fundraising group that brings together English speaking women from all over the world. The IWC was founded in 1983 and in 2008 celebrates 25th years of supporting the community of Cancun.

As part of our mission we do our best to make newcomers feel welcome and at home in Cancun. In addition, each year we choose at least one charity and then spend the year raising money for it. Club dues cover club expenses because of this we are able to give 100% of the money we raise directly to charity!

February White Elephant Auction

At our February General Meeting the International Women’s Club of Cancun held its first fundraiser of 2008. We held an informal White Elephant Auction in which members brought items from home to auction off. With little work and less planning we were able to make more than $6200 MXP in under one hour. All proceeds from the auction will benefit this year’s charities.

In 2007 the International Women’s Club of Cancun raised more than $120,000 pesos for charity.

~ A fashion show & raffle of prizes donated by our sponsors
